hope everyone has had a great Christmas and New Year and hope that
everyone has another great showing season
in
2009 x
I
will start with a lovely letter that I received from Lidia Johnson
with some of her results from 2008.
Firstly on Trellech
Countryman who has been competing
In the part bred Arab
classes.
1st York’s
Amateur
1st &
Champion Wetherby
1st Derby
Now at 15 he has joined
the veteran Society and Qualified
for the regional’s first
time out at the NCPA open show.
He was also 1st
& Champion veteran at NCPA Derbyshire.
My young P/B Arab
Trellech Chantilly Lord (Countryman’s
Brother) has been going
from strength this season with these
great results.

Champion Northern Arab
1st & Res
Champion Staffs Arab
He will be doing some
Dressage throughout the winter.
Toscana Seabreeze, My
homebred show pony out of my
138 (Jackets Viola) has
been winning lots of classes in R/P
Breeding and P/B Welsh,
being unbeaten this season,
1st Leicester
County
1st NCPA Open
1st Staffs
1St in three
classes and 2 Championships at NCPA Staffs Festival.
In July whilst looking
for some hay, we read an advert
where
some stables were for sale as the owner was losing her rented field.
When we got to the field we came across a beautiful unwanted section
A mare (Sunnyhill Cloe) who needed a home. We brought her there and
then. After a month (and a major diet) we took her to Bakewell show
where Cloe , ridden beautifully by Sophie Judge and led by mum Julie
was Reserve champion Heritage M&M. We then proceeded to Ponies UK
where she came 4th out of 49 in a HOYS Q.
At Hope show they won 3
M&M classes
and Championships.
At NCPA Derby Autumn
show Cloe and Sophie were 1st
M&M First
Ridden and Mini Champion.
More Recently
they were 3rd at the BSPS Heritage Champs in a really strong Class.
We are very lucky to
have such a super jockey as Sophie riding our ponies.
Our other
homebred pony first ridden Toscana Seamist Out of my 128 Barkway
Felicity was 4th in the Hoys Q
at Ponies Uk.
At the NCPA Pony of the
year after winning the lead Rein they became the Brown Turner
overall mini Champion Of Champions, winning some beautiful sashes
and trophies.

I have a lovely email from Sophie Brown telling me all about her FAB
year.
Dear Claire,
Sorry I haven’t sent my results in sooner! I have had an amazing
season With Valentinos royal touch (Joey) I Have been riding him
this year
for
Julie Cook and I couldn’t have wished for a better season!
We started off the season at area 3a with a 4th,
then went onto B.s.p.s area 17 where we won our Class and went
champion qualifying for The R.I.H.S open 148cm.
B.s.p.s area 1A: 1st and champion qualifying for R.I.H.S Pretty
Polly, Stafford: 4th 148cm sp B.s.p.s Area 4B: 1st and Champion
East Of England: 4th (hoys Qualifier)
R.I.H.S:2nd Home produced, 4th Open 148cm Sp
Northern Horse Show: 2nd And reserve Champion Qualifying for Horse
of the year show!
The Royal Show: 2nd (hoys Qualifier)
B.s.p.s Area 4A: 1st and Reserve Champion
Ponies uk: 1st and Reserve Champion (Hoys Qualifier)
B.s.p.s Summer Championships:
5th Pretty Polly 148cm Sp
3rd Freestyle 148cm Sp
1st Dennybeck 148cm and Champion
1st Part Bred Arab and Reserve Champion
2nd Blue ribband 148cm Sp and Champion

What a Fantastic Evening!
I have never had such a amazing year and I will neverForget it!
