News from the Press Office! - Updated May 2008

Hi Area 4A

I hope everyone’s showing is going well and you are all getting your RIHS tickets. Unfortunately I think everyone has been a little busy this month, as I only have one set of results sent by Mr Hingley. So this review is going to be briefer than normal.

Results

Dear Clare,

We have had a fantastic past month of results and thought we would finally get round to sending you some details for the review. Despite the weather we really did enjoy the Winter Champs(full marks to all those concerned for keeping things going so efficiently).

Emily gained a 2nd place in the Tiny Tots on Lingymoor Monsanta Friars Welsh Punch - ridden by William

1st. Open Cradle and going on to win the Championship

1st. Open Heritage 122 whp , going on to win the overall Championship

1st. Junior riders Open 122 whp

Millcroft Dow Jones - ridden by William

1st. Open Nursery.

1st. Novice 133 whp

2nd. Novice Nursery

Both William's ponies went through to the Underwood Winter Open Supreme Championship, many thanks to Victoria Leavesley for stepping-in to ride her old pony, Friars Welsh Punch in the Championship. We also had the thrill of seeing a brother and sister act in an evening performance when William on Friars Welsh Punch and Emily on Lingymoor Monsanta achieved a 5th and 7th respectively in the Heritage Novice 122 whp.

Five days later at Field House two day spectacular, we continued our run of good luck with the following :

Millcroft Dow Jones 1st Open Nursery winning his Royal International ticket.

Friars Welsh Punch 1st Cradle stakes

In the Championship, with Lucy Robinson onboard Friars Welsh Punch,

William went Champion on Millcroft Dow Jones and Friars Welsh Punch Reserve.

We finished a fabulous day with Emily winning the Tiny Tots on Lingymoor Monsanta

Many thanks to Sally Taylor for the huge amount of help, advice and enthusiasm she gives both to us and the children.

Kind regards,

John and Leigh Hingley.

Other Results

We travelled up to the North of England show at the end of April, Where I led Olivia Varley on Senateview Angelica and we won and qualified RIHS in the lead rein show pony, not bad Olivia for your 1st attempt.

The weekend after we where at Area 5 where Kim was 2nd on Pretoria in Rihs 153, and I had a 4th on Strinesdale Scenario in the Rihs SRT. Another  of our members I spotted at area 5 who did very well was Jessica Renshaw-smith riding Nantcol Lady

Penelope who won the open Rihs first ridden and went res champion and also won the PP FR and then went PP champion. Well done Jess! Then we went to the Cheshire premier show where I rode our new novice Rotherwood peep 'O' in the novice Srt which we were 3rd in.

Also Chaseford Aspen won the Rihs 128 sp picking up his ticket. And Charlotte Horne has started her season off with Tidesbrook Rogar Rabbit with a bang at 2A she won and went champion and I also saw them go champion at Newark County show as well.

Well Done to everyone and our hard working fabulous ponies!

Please can all you members out there make my job a little easier next month by sending me some of your results, as it’s so difficult when I have to try and write from memory and I don’t want to make any mistakes

See you soon

Clare
